OUR WATER-FED POLE SYSTEM

To ensure a completely streak-free finish, the water we use has to be purified to remove any contaminates.

Believe it or not, although tap water is clean, it is FAR from pure, tap water has various contaminates such as chlorine, limescale, flouride, and possibly even traces of lead and microplastics.

​

To purify our water it goes through various stages of filtration:

1. Sediment Filter - (1st Blue Canister)

2. Carbon Block Filter (2nd Blue Canister)

3. Reverse Osmosis Membrane (Stainless Steel Canister)

4. De-Ionising Resin (Black Resin Vessel)

Water purity is measured using a TDS Meter which gives a reading in Parts Per Million (PPM), as an example, the tap water we use at our base in Amble has a PPM of 155 after passing the first two pre-filters, this however needs to be 0 PPM or thereabouts to ensure a streak-free finish on your windows.

After our water passes through the Reverse Osmosis Membrane the reading drops to 5-6 PPM, the water is now ready for it's final stage of purification before it can reach the 650 Litre Tank which is mounted in the Van.

The water then goes through the De-Ionising resin which strips the water of any molecules which have an electrical charge such as Magnesium, Calcium or any Nitrates or Sulphates.

The water is now 100% Pure and is ready to be stored in the tank before being pumped from the van onto your windows via our extendable brushes.
